The previously mentioned Pillow Pet has a certain cutesy ah about it but what on earth were the marketing folk thinking (and I’m saying that as a marketing person) when they came up with a pair of slippers called Sir One Eyed Monster? Less nobility and more knob-bility with that particular title.
It’s part of a range of slippers that has eyes etc that open and close when you walk and is of course aimed at kids…this one pretty much made me guffaw my early morning and still rather hot coffee through my nose.
The tittersome name won’t mean anything to the liitle uns but I certainly couldn’t help thinking of that scene in Austin Powers 2: The Spy Who Shagged Me where all those people see the phallic shaped Dr Evil rocket in the sky.
