The sun was finally setting on our first holiday as a family and as well as our bulging cases we were also taking back a bulging set of new memories and moments (thankfully they don’t charge you import tax on those).
Isabelle seemed to change and grow up even during that short period of a week, I don’t know if it was because it was a new environment with new adventures to explore or whether it was because all three of us were in each others’ company that period of time, which is something we aren’t fortunate to have at home, what with work and nursery etc.
I think that each experience was just that far more intense as we weren’t just seeing it through our eyes but also through Isabelle’s brilliant blue eyes as well.
Isabelle’s first holiday might not have been perfect in each and every way, but that was all part of the fun of it for the three of us, and it was just great to be able to spend that huge chunk of time with each other, relax, take things at our own pace and just enjoy each other’s company.
And so we returned back to Gatwick from whence we came, as nice as it is to get away it’s also nice to get back home. After all, as soon as you get home you can start planning your next adventure and something tells me that Isabelle has a fair few more of those to come…
